Technical Product Manager

Overview: We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the development, lifecycle management, and market success of our wire harness product portfolio.

This role combines technical expertise with strong product management skills to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Own the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for wire harness solutions.
  2. Translate customer requirements into detailed product specifications and features, create and follow up on quotations.
  3. Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure product feasibility and compliance with industry standards.
  4. Create cost estimates, including material and tool planning and procurement.
  5. Draw preliminary and final calculation of products
  6. Product development with the customer, support the design and validation of wire harnesses, ensuring cost-effectiveness, reliability, and manufacturability.
  7. Initiate and track sample production.
  8. Manage technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs and regulatory compliance.
  9. Participate in resolving failures, identifying underlying reasons.
  10. Drive continuous cost optimization and efficiency improvements in product lines.
  11. Collaborate with sales and marketing to position products, develop go-to-market strategies, and support customer acquisition.
  12. Serve as the technical point of contact for customers, providing expertise during design-in and aftersales support, visit customers.
  13. Visit suppliers for projects and new products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Strong understanding of materials, connectors, routing and harness manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. IPC, WHMA-A-620, ISO/TS, SAE)
  • Familiarity with CAD tools for harness design (e.g. CATIA, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN), SAP is a plus
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Ability to balance technical detail with strategic business priorities
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
